My name is Geoffrey Farrar and I am a Methodist Minister, currently serving in the Richmond & Hounslow Circuit of the British Methodist Church, in west London. I look after three churches in and around Putney, Barnes and Roehampton. Before becoming a minister, I worked as an English teacher overseas and latterly in the House of Commons, as an official.
This site contains some of the many things that I have to write as part of my vocation – sermons, items for church newsletters, articles, etc. – as well as a few things that I have chosen to write specifically for this blog. I hope you find something that interests you. All the views expressed here are my own and I do not claim to speak on behalf of anyone else.
The churches keep me very busy but when I have the chance I love to travel, go to the opera, cycle, garden and sing with my local Gilbert & Sullivan society.
